PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie women's basketball team battled the Ursuline College Arrows at home in another Great Midwest Athletic Conference match. The Storm fell behind early and were unable to comeback, resulting in a final score of 66-50. This loss brings their record to 1-12 (0-7 G-MAC).
In the first quarter, both teams battled as there were five lead changes. However in the second quarter, the Arrows were able to create separation going into the half with an 11 point lead. Although the Storm shot 7-of-12 (58.33%) from the field in the third quarter, they were unable to close the gap as the Arrows offense continued to find the basket.
The Storm had two players in double figures. Sophomore Grace Lyon had 12 points on 4-of-7 (57.12%) shooting from the field while junior Anna Ibos had 10 points, three steals, and two assists
The Storm will be back in action in Columbus, Ohio when they take on the Ohio Dominican University Panthers for another G-MAC match-up. This game will take place Thursday, January 18th at 5:30 p.m.
