NASHVILLE, Tennessee -- The Lake Erie men's soccer team took to the road this weekend to face the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans in another Great Midwest matchup. The Storm would come away with a 1-0 victory and extend their win streak to three games.

Both teams struggled to carve out a clear advantage in the contest. The Storm would out shoot the Trojans though, getting off 14 shots while the Trojans had nine.

In the 80th minute, Mathi Ott would put one in the back of the net for the Storm's first goal of the game with help from Angel Murillo. That would prove to be all they needed as they kept the Trojans scoreless the rest of the way and ended with a 1-0 win.

Cooper Cook started in goal and impressed with three saves, while Ott, Randolfe Rothe and Wassim Metatla each recorded three shots in the contest.

The win brings Lake Erie's record to 4-3-2 (3-12 G-MAC) which currently places them second in the conference. They will be back in action on Wednesday, October 4th at home to face the Ashland Eagles at 1 PM.
