CRESTVIEW, Kentucky -- The Lake Erie men's soccer team took to the road for a matchup against the Thomas More Saints. A goal in each half would help guide the Storm to a 2-0 victory and bring their record to 3-3-2 with a 2-1-2 record in conference play.
It took a while for Lake Erie to get going, but finally, in the 43rd minute,
Kacy Parish notched the first goal of the game for his team and gave the Storm a 1-0 lead heading into the locker room.
Just like the first half, the second half was a slow one. Lake Erie only got off two shots, but luckily in the 78th minute one of them went through the back of the net when
Mathi Ott found
Aaron Garrote for the team's second goal of the game.
The Storm, usually a high shooting team, struggled in the contest, only getting off seven shot in the game including five on goal.
Lake Erie will be back in action on Saturday, September 30th on the road to take on the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans at 1 PM.
