BEAVERCREEK, Ohio -- The Lake Erie men's golf team competed in the Cedarville Men's Golf Invitational this week, hosted by Cedarville University. The men would finish fourth on the weekend and break two school records in the process.
Senior
Antonio Bodziony led the way for the Storm after shooting 142 (-2) with round scores of 76 (+4) and 66 (-6). Bodziony's second round would place him just one stroke shy of the school record for lowest 18-hole score. Overall in the invitational, he tied for fourth.
Sophomore
Ryan Chipps, would earn Lake Erie's second top-10 finish of the week after he shot 147 (+3) with round scores of 73 (+1) and 73 (+1).
Other finishers for the Storm included
Daniel Milo (t-11th, 147),
Jacob Fitzpatrick (t-30th, 162),
Logan Cook (t-30th, 162), and
Tyler Schwenk (29th, 161).
As a team, Lake Erie finished day one with a score of 306. On day two, they would make history. The men's round 2 score of 289 was the lowest 18-hole score in school history and help lead them to finish with a total 36-hole score of 595, another school record.
The Storm will be back in action on October 2nd-3rd as they compete in the Kyle Ryman Memorial hosted by Tiffin University.
