NORTH CANTON, Ohio — The Lake Erie women's lacrosse team continued their road games at Walsh University for an afternoon conference match. The Cavaliers took over the game early in the first quarter, with the Storm trailing behind. The Storm were able to get three goals past the Walsh goalie, but the final score ended 23-3 Walsh. The Storm move to a 0-6 conference record, and are 3-9 overall.
The leaders for the Storm were sophomore Shannon Smith, junior Emma Rhoades, and sophomore Erin Snyder, each scoring a goal. The Storm picked up five ground balls for the day.
Freshman Avery Artino was in the goal for Lake Erie, recording seven saves.
The Storm take a short break before returning to conference play. They head to Tiffin to face the Dragons on Friday, April 28th at 6:00 PM.
