PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's basketball team hosted the Tiffin Dragons in a game with huge playoff-seeding implications for both teams. The Storm would fall in the contest, 82-74.
The game started and stayed neck-in-neck the whole first half. As a team, the Storm struggled to connect from deep, going 2-for-13 in the half but captivated by turning Dragon turnovers into points.
In the second half, Tiffin would go on a run and grab the edge, taking a double-digit lead with about seven minutes remaining. The Dragons would not let up as they continued to make shot after shot and the Storm would not be able to respond with the same, dropping the pivotal game.
Jacob Plantz would lead the Storm in scoring with 20 points om 9-20 shooting from the field with three others scoring in double-digits as well.
Lake Erie will be back in action on Wednesday, February 22 at home for a late-season out-of-conference matchup against Salem International.
