ROMEOVILLE, Illi. -- The Lake Erie Storm men's lacrosse team finished up their road trip in Romeoville against the Quincy Hawks this weekend. They would play another tight contest but fall 18-15 by the end.

The Storm put up a tougher fight against the Hawks than the day before despite surrendering more points in the matchup. 

Quincy would jump out to a quick 2-0 lead early but the Storm would put up three straight goals and take the lead. By the end of the second half though, things would be knotted up at 7-7.

In the second half, the Hawks would take the edge and stretch it out to a five point lead early through the fourth with a score of 16-11. Lake Erie would outscore Quincy 4-2 the remainder of the way but it would not be enough as Quincy would finish the contest with the win.

Brendan Luthart and Dawson Kindall would carry the team with five goals each with Luthart also tallying an assist and Kindall notching two himself.

The loss gives the Storm an 0-3 start to the season but they will be back in action on Saturday, February 25 for their home opener at 7 PM against #20 Frostburg State.
