ROMEOVILLE, Illi. -- The Lake Erie College Storm men's lacrosse team traveled to Romeoville, Illinois to compete in their first of two road matchups on the weekend. They would face the Lewis University Flyers today, February 11 and fall in the contest 12-7.
Lake Erie was never able to get in a full groove as they were held to merely chipping away at Lewis's growing lead throughout the matchup. Lewis would put up the first point on the board with 9:278 remaining in the first and again with 46 second remaining. The Storm were able to get their first goal of the game in the final seconds of the first quarter when

The Storm would get shutout in the second quarter and the Flyers would put up two more, bringing their lead to 4-1 in the half. Unfortunately, Lewis would have a strong third quarter and extend their lead to 10-4 with one quarter remaining. By the end of the final period, the Storm would get their first back-to-back goals of the game but unfortunately it would not be enough as they would fall 12-7.
Albright would lead the team with three goals and
Zephaniah Scott would be the only other scorer with multiple goals for Lake Erie.
Freshman goalkeeper
Noah Beckett would bounce back nicely by saving 17 shots while allowing all 12 goals.
The loss takes the Storm to 0-2 on the season with their next matchup coming on Sunday, February 12 against Quincy at 1 PM.
