NORTH CANTON, Ohio — The Lake Erie women's volleyball team was at Walsh University for another G-MAC game against the Cavaliers. Despite strong efforts in the third set, the Storm was unable to take a game from the Cavaliers. The team moves to a 3-12 conference record and are 4-22 overall.
The first two sets were controlled by Walsh, with fighting efforts from Storm's offense. Set three was close throughout, up to a 24-24 tie. A kill and two errors from the Storm gave Walsh the 26-24 match winning set. Senior Taylor Metzler led Lake Erie in offense with eight kills. Junior captain Simone Schurr recorded 11 assists, followed by freshman Jenna Sayles with ten. Sayles and senior captain Dora Olah each picked up seven digs.
The Storm return to their home court on Friday, November 3rd to host the Tiffin Dragons at 6:00 PM.
