Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lake Erie College Storm men's soccer team traveled down to Nashville, on September 29, to take on the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans. They would emerge victorious on the night, taking home a 5-0 and improving their record to 2-6-2 on the season.
It was all Lake Erie's game in this contest, with the Storm coming out firing on all cylinders.
Just 9:43 into the match, Ben Wiemann would find Fabian Kiessetz for the first goal of the game to set the tone.
At the 23:26 mark, Tom Akinola would score, this time assisted by both Teddy Baker and Dylan Ellingson.
The Storm would remain quiet the rest of the first half but their day would just be getting started.
With 14 minutes off the clock in the second half, Lake Erie would strike twice in the next 30 seconds, with goals by Daniel Utgaard and Connor Mautino. Dylan Ellingson would score 13 minutes later and give the Storm a 5-0 lead which they would keep for the remainder of the contest.
The Storm would do a fantastic job of spreading the wealth on the night with five different players scoring on eight assists as a team. Baker would lead the way with a career-high four assists and Tomas Wroblewski would save three goals and earn the shutout.
The Storm will return to action on Saturday, October 1 on the road to face the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers for the first time this season.
