Storm Drop Third Straight; Fall to 1-4-1

Box Score

MIDLAND, Mich. – The Lake Erie College Storm men's soccer team took the field Wednesday afternoon, September 14 in Midland, Michigan to face the Northwood Timberwolves. They would fall 2-1 and drop their season record to 1-4-1.

After falling 3-0 against #4 Mercyhurst, Lake Erie was looking to get back out there and show that the past few games have been nothing but a fluke.

Just 13:15 into the start of the game, the Storm would strike first, setting them up with an early 1-0 lead.

Northwood would keep pushing though and manage to tie things up just four minutes later.

The score would remain 1-1 going into the second half but Northwood would strike hard five minutes into the half and give themselves a 2-1 which they would carry the rest of the way to beat the Storm.

Lake Erie kept pace with the Timberwolves shooting five shots on goal compared to their six and in total shooting the ball 14 times compared to Northwood's 15.

The Storm would only earn one yellow card in the match (Noah Elbana) after earning four last match.

Lake Erie will return to action on Saturday, September 17 as they host Trevecca Nazarene before heading to Columbus on September 22 to face Ohio Dominican for the second time this season.
