Bodziony Has Career Day to Place 1st at GMAC Championships; Storm finish 6th

LEXINGTON, Kentucky - After a spring season that made golf and all sports difficult across Northeast Ohio, the Lake Erie College men's golf program was looking to make the most of their opportunity to compete at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Golf Championship held at the Big Blue Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky. They certainly took that task seriously as they played well and finished 6th as a team.

By far, the best Storm golfer at the event was Antonio Bodziony. He shot a career-best 208 (74-67-67) to finish first in the field of all individual golfers, and earned All-Conference honors for his efforts.

After a career day from their teammate, the rest of the Storm golfers also played well in the event. Daniel Milo finished 41st with an overall score of 230 (77-78-75). Logan Cook shot a 231 (77-75-79), and Jacob Fitzpatrick earned a 234 (82-75-77). Lastly, Ross Teeter would complete the Storm's day with a 235 (84-77-74).

This event concludes the Lake Erie golf season which saw the Storm compete well across both the spring and fall campaigns. Head Coach Robby Pickett's squad made some strong improvements through the season, and they will look to continue that development as they now prepare for the 2022-2023 campaigns.
