SOUTHERN PINES, North Carolina - With winter weather still making outdoor sports difficult in northeast Ohio, the Lake Erie College men's golf program took the chance to head down to Southern Pines, North Carolina to compete in the Bell Collegiate hosted by Hillsdale College at the Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club. The Storm faced a tough field of some of the best collegiate golfers from across the nation. They finished the 2 day competition tied for 9th place as a team.
Individually, the top Storm golfer was Ross Teeter, who shot 230 (74-79-77) to finish 25th. Just behind him, Daniel Milo who tied for a 26th place position with a 231 (79-75-77). Jacob Fitzpatrick shot a 238 (83-81-74) and finished tied for 41st. Logan Cook shot a 247 (88-80-79) and finished tied for 52nd. Tyler Schwenk added a 260 (85-87-88) and finished tied for 61st. Last but not least, Logan Frank also competed in the event independently and shot a 300 (99-103-98) to finish 71st.
The Storm men's golf program will get back into action on April 9th and 10th as they travel to compete at the Bill Blazer Memorial tournament hosted at Urbana Country Club in Urbana, Ohio. That event will be hosted by Ohio Dominican University.
