Box Score FROSTBURG, Md. – The Lake Erie College Storm men's lacrosse team took down the #15 ranked Frostburg State University Bobcats, Feb. 26 in Frostburg, Maryland, 14-11. The win gives the Storm their first of the year and improves their record to 1-2 to start the season.
Lake Erie got off to a hot start, scoring their first goal just two minutes into the match and went on a 5-1 run in the first quarter. They would carry that momentum through the second quarter, finishing the first half with an 8-3 lead. Frostburg State would then start to shift the momentum back in the second half, outsourcing the Storm 8-6 but it would prove to not be enough as Lake Erie finishes the match with a 14-11 victory.
Blain Wallace would lead the Storm with four goals on the day while adding an assist. Tommy Bichsel, Connor Dent, Nick Askin and Dawson Kindall would all score two of their own goals with Kindall adding two assists as well.
Frostburg State would outshoot the Storm 44-39 but goalkeeper Lincoln Potter had himself an efficient day, only allowing 11 goals while saving 10.
The Storm will be back in action on Saturday, March 5 at 12:00 PM at home to take on #17 ranked Lewis University before going back on the road March 9 to take St. Michael's at 3:00 PM.
