INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced its 2026 men's lacrosse all-conference awards. The Storm earned two selections, as Joshua Hegbe and Billy Coughlin were both named Second Team All-Conference.
Joshua Hegbe -- Second Team All-Conference
The 6'1 junior defender was a major contributor all over the field this season for the Storm. He won over half of the team's faceoffs (48), led the team in ground balls (41), and ranked third in caused turnovers (11). Hegbe improved in all three categories from last season and served as a consistent presence and leader throughout the year.
Additionally, on his only shot attempt of the season, Hegbe found the back of the net in the third quarter against Davenport, marking his second collegiate goal.
Billy Coughlin -- Second Team All-Conference
On the offensive end, Coughlin matched his strong output of 15 assists from the year prior, leading the team in that category once again. He also took on a much larger scoring role, scoring 25 goals, which was 10 more than last season and ranked second on the team.
The senior was the breath of life for the Storm offense. He finished among the top 20 in assists in the conference and consistently applied pressure on opposing defenses. His 7.8 shots per game ranked seventh in the G-MAC.
His three-goal, three-assist performance in a 14-11 victory over Malone stood out as one of the season's top efforts. Coughlin, along with redshirt junior Andrew Cramer, who scored six goals, helped lead the Storm to a much-needed win over the Pioneers. His six-point outing tied for the fourth-most points in a single game across the conference this season.
