PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College Storm men's soccer team took the field Saturday afternoon, October 15, at home to take on the visiting Cedarville Yellow Jackets. 

Things started off fantastic for the Storm as they proceeded to score three goals in the first half of play. The Storm would play shutout defense for the entirety of the first half.

The stellar defense by the Storm led Lake Erie to jump on Cedarville early. Teddy Baker gave us the lead with an early unassisted goal. Conner Mautino would then go on to score back to back goals within 10 minutes of each other with the second goal assisted by Fabian Kiessetz. 

The Storm came out of the locker room looking to start right where they left off. The defense shut out the Yellow Jackets once again for a second straight half.

Teddy Baker added a second half goal to boost the lead for the Storm 4-0. That would be Baker's second goal on the night. 

After a huge defensive showing by the Storm, they knocked off Cedarville with the final score of 4-0. While shutting out the Yellow Jackets, the Storm looks to continue this momentum to finish off the season. 

The Storm will return to action on Thursday, October 20 at home to take on the Northwood Timberwolves in a conference showdown.
