Box Score CANTON, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's soccer team was victorious today over Malone University, 1-0. With the win the Storm improves to 3-3-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the conference, and with the loss the Pioneers fall to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
The Storm opened the scoring in the final minute of the first half when Joseph Munaretto (Wickliffe, Ohio / Riverside) found the back of the net off of an assist by Kenneth Kolke (Stow, Ohio / Stow-Munroe Falls) to make the score 1-0 in favor of the Storm.
The second half was a scoreless battle in which both teams had opportunities to score. However, Lake Erie held on to win the game 1-0.
In net for the Storm was Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ont. / Pikering) he faced eight shots, four of which were on goal, made four saves, and allowed zero goals.
Lake Erie will be back in action Friday (October 2nd) when they host Saginaw Valley St. at 7 P.M.
