Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's soccer team was defeated today (September 13th) by Urbana University. With the loss the Storm falls to 0-2-1 overall and with the win Urbana improves to 1-1-1 overall.
The first half was a scoreless battle between both sides. The Storm and the Blue Knights each had opportunities to score as the shot total was 4-2 in favor of Urbana.
In the second half, Urbana opened the scoring when Alex Zanotti scored off of a free kick to make the score 1-0 in favor of the Blue Knights. Urbana held on to win 1-0.
In net for the Storm was Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ont. / Pikering) he faced nine shots, three of which were on goal, made two saves, and allowed one goal.
Lake Erie will be back in action Friday (September 18th) when they travel to take on Tiffin at 4 P.M.
