Storm Defeated Walsh, 2-0

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College men's soocer team defeated Walsh University toady (September 28th), 2-0.  With the victory the Storm is now 3-3-1- overall and 2-2-1 in the conference, and Walsh falls to 3-4 overall, and 1-4 in conference play.

The scoring started in the first half when junior midfielder Ryan Gibson (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Scioto) crossed a ball that found sophomore forward Stuart Campbell (Glassgow, Scotland / Glassgow Academy) who headed the ball into the back of the net to give the Storm a 1-0 advantage.  The goal came with seven minutes to play in the half, and is Campbell's fourth on the season. 

In the second half Lake Erie widened the margin to 2-0 when senior forward Alfred Majer (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) finished a ball that was bouncing around in the box. 

In net for Storm was Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ont. / Pikering) who faced six shots, two of which were on frame, he made two saves and allowed zero goals. 

Lake Erie College is back in action Friday (October 3rd) when they travel to Michigan to play Northwood University at 4 P.M.
