Box Score CANTON, Ohio – The Lake Erie men's soccer team defeated Malone University today (October 26th), 1-0. With the win the Storm improve to 9-4-2 overall and 8-3-2 in the conference and the Pioneers fall to 2-12-1 overall and 1-10-1 in conference play.
The scoring was opened in the 25th minute when senior forward Alfred Majer (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) scored off of a free kick to give the Storm a 1-0 advantage.
In net for the Storm was senior Nicholas Simonetti (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Jerome / Queens) he faced 11 total shots, five of which were on frame, made five saves, and allowed zero goals.
Lake Erie College will be back in action when they travel to take on Alderson-Broaddus on Wednesday (October 29th) at 5:30 P.M.
