Box Score TIFFIN, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's soccer team defeated Tiffin University today (October 10th), 3-0. With the win the Storm improve to 4-4-2 overall and 3-3-2 in the conference and the Dragons fall to 7-2-1 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
The scoring was opened in the first half when freshman midfielder Chad Bencina (Willoughby, Ohio / Willoughby South) scored off an assist from senior midfielder Stefan Martin (Surrey, England / Greenshore) to give the Storm a 1-0 advantage early in the first half.
The Storm added to the lead when freshman forward Joseph Munaretto (Wickliffe, Ohio / Riverside) scored off of an assist by sophomorre forward Stuart Campbell (Glassgow, Scotland / Glassgow Academy) to make the 2-0 at the end of the first half.
In the second half Lake Erie College continued their dominance when senior forward Alfred Majer (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) scored in the 69th minute off of an assist from Campbell to give the Storm a 3-0 advantage.
Junior goalkeeper Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ont. / Pikering) faced 20 shots, seven of which were on goal, made seven saves, and allowed zero goals.
