Box Score PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Junior Scott Stuckey (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon)
scored a pair of goals for the third fourth time in six games and
senior Jared Daly (Hubbard, Ohio/Ursuline) recorded his second
straight shutout to lead the Lake Erie College men's soccer team to
a 4-0 win over Malone University on Saturday (Oct. 10) in Canton,
Ohio.
Last week's ECAC co-Offensive Player of the Week, Stuckey ran
his team-leading goal total to 10. He has scored eight goals since
Sept. 26 during which time the Storm (5-7-1) has posted a 4-2
record.
Senior Evertone Blake (Clardenon, Jamaica/Clardenon/Lakeland CC)
and freshman Philip Murphy (Painesvile, Ohio/Riverside) scored the
other two goals. For Blake it was his sixth goal of the season
while Murphy's goal was the first of his career.
Meanwhile, Daly stopped all four shots he faced in goal. He
improved to 3-2-1 on the season and has not allowed a goal in his
last 281:55 of action.
The Storm, which outshot Malone (4-7-1) 9-4 in the match,
returns home on Monday, Oct. 12, for a Columbus day doubleheader
with the women's team against Lock Haven University. Lake Erie will
face the Eagles at 4 p.m.
