PAINESVILLE, OH - The Lake Erie College women's soccer team lost 0-3 to Penn State Behrend who remains undefeated in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). The Storm entered the contest looking to pull to .500 in the AMCC and knock down one of the three teams tied for first place in the conference. But Lake Erie fell behind with the Behrend Lions scoring three goal within five minutes, the first coming in the 13th minute. While the Storm had some promising chances in the second half, they were unable to convert.
Lake Erie's junior Angela Bethel (Beavercreek, Ohio/Miami Valley) finished with 5 shots making up half of the Storm's 10 for the game. Freshman goalkeeper Veronica Skowron (Youngstown, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney) had 10 saves for the day.
Lake Erie travels to AMCC rival La Roche on Saturday. Both teams are 1-3 in the conference, and both teams are looking to snap two game losing streaks.
