PAINESVILLE, OH - Lake Erie College Women's Soccer rebounded from their loss to Oberlin, last Wednesday, with a win against Thiel College. The Storm beat the Tomcats with a score of 2-1. This win improved the Storm's record to 5-2-0.
Angela Bethel (Beavercreek, OH/Miami Valley) scored both of the Storm's goal. She had one in the first half to open the game, and one in the second half to seal the victory. On her second goal she was assisted by Loni Sargent (Hubbard, OH/Hubbard).
The Storm's defense held strong again to keep the Tomcats at only one goal in the second half. Lake Erie will be back in action on Saturday, September 23 when they take on Frostburg State in a double header with the Men's team. This will be the first conference game for both teams, with the Women's game set to begin at 1:00pm.
