PAINESVILLE, OH - Lake Erie College fell short in Wednesday's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) match against Penn State Behrend 3-0.
The lack of opportunities on Lake Erie's part didn't help as the Lions outshot the Storm 21-3. Much of the game was spent on the defensive end for LEC as AMCC Player of the Week Angela Bethel (Beavercreek, Ohio/Miami Valley) was kept quiet, taking only two shots during the 90 minutes.
Storm keeper Heather McElwain (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) got quite the workout in the net, stopping 15 of Behrend's attempts.
Lake Erie is now 7-4 overall and 2-2 in the AMCC heading into Saturday's league game against LaRoche.
