PAINESVILLE, OH - The Lake Erie College women's soccer team will take to the road for the first round of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament after today's 4-0 loss to Medaille College.
The Storm was held to just eight shots, only two on goal, while the Mavericks took 19 total shots - 12 of which were on goal.
The Storm needed a victory against Medaille this afternoon in order to host a first round game on Saturday. With the defeat, LEC dropped into a fifth place AMCC tie, with the tiebreaker favoring Hilbert College. As a result, Lake Erie will travel to third place La Roche College on Saturday for a 2 p.m. contest. When the two teams met up earlier in the season in Lake Erie territory, the Redhawks earned the 1-0 decision in double overtime.
Lake Erie finished the regular season with an overall record of 10-6-2 and a conference record of 3-4-2.
