Zach Hoffman is entering his sixth year as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer at Lake Erie in 2024-25 and his 13th year overall.
Hoffman joined the Lake Erie College sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in October 2012. He was promoted to associate athletic trainer in September 2013 and head athletic trainer in July 2019. Hoffman works to promote health and wellness to all Storm student-athletes and serves primarily as the athletic trainer to the Storm volleyball, wrestling, and women’s lacrosse, and cross country teams.
Prior to coming to Lake Erie, Hoffman was an assistant trainer at Notre Dame College for two years where he worked primarily with the Falcons football and wrestling programs. Before that, he was the trainer for the Great Lakes Loons, the Los Angeles Dodgers Single-A Midwest League affiliate in Midland, Michigan.
Hoffman, a Ravenna, Ohio native, earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Baldwin-Wallace College. He also graduated from Concordia University-Irvine with his master of arts in coaching and athletic administration in May 2018. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association (OATA) and the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association (GLATA).
Hoffman currently resides in Madison, Ohio with his wife Molly, daughters Gabrielle and Emma, and their dogs Ripken and Lydia.
