Lake Erie College

2010: Played in 33 sets and 15 matches in a reserve role… recorded 30 blocks which led the team with .91 blocks per set... named to GLIAC Volleyball All-Academic Excellence Team Honorees.

2009: Played in 26 matches as a sophomore and was named team's most improved player... recorded 49 kills and 39 blocks on the year... had four matches with five or more kills, including a career-high seven vs. Wilmington on 10/3... had six kills twice, vs. Urbana on 10/2 and vs. Maryville in the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover on 10/16... set a career-high with four total blocks three times... helped out with three assists vs. Bellarmine 10/17 and had three digs at Northwestern Ohio.

2008: Played in just three matches as a freshman... recorded one kill, two blocks and a service aces in limited action... both blocks came against Central State on 9/16.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Was a three-year varsity player at Carlisle High School... earned second-team All-Southwestern Buckeye League and honorable mention all-district honors and was twice named team's defensive player of the year... also played softball for four years, earning all-league and district honors on the diamond... member of student government and a U.S. Army Scholar Athlete.

PERSONAL: Born April 6, 1990... parents are Sherry and Jamie Smallwood... majoring in legal studies with a minor in Spanish... also a member of the Lake Erie women's tennis team... Dean's List student and Spanish Club member.
