Lee Anderson is entering his third season as the head coach of the Storm volleyball program in 2023.

With over 20 years of coaching experience, he has a proven track record of leading student-athletes to success not only on the court but in the classroom as well.

Anderson came to Lake Erie after three successful seasons (2017-2019) as the assistant coach at Edinboro University in which he helped lead student-athletes both on and off the court. During his time, the Fighting Scots amassed 52 wins overall with a winning percentage of .600,  including multiple wins against NCAA Tournament qualifying teams. In the classroom, his student-athletes garnered AVCA All-Academic status with a 3.32 cumulative GPA.

Prior to Edinboro, Anderson was the head volleyball coach at the University of Minnesota Crookston for 10 seasons from 2007-2016. During his tenure, he took over a team that started at the bottom of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) and transformed it into a program that consistently challenged to make the playoffs in one of the toughest DII volleyball conferences in the nation. Anderson turned in the most successful six-year record of the program's history and led the Golden Eagles to 67 total wins during that time which included a .600 winning percentage against non-conference opponents.

Before that, Anderson was the head coach at Glenville State College from 2005-2006. During the 2006 season, the Pioneers established a new school record for conference victories and won their first conference tournament in five years.

Anderson was also an assistant coach at Ferris State for two seasons. In 2004 the Bulldogs finished the season ranked #16 with a 25-7 record in which they won the GLIAC Championship and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.

Anderson is married to his wife Heather and they reside in Fairport Harbor.
