Johnny Faddoul is entering his third season as an assistant coach for the Storm men’s basketball program in 2023-24.
Faddoul came to Lake Erie with an extensive amount of coaching experience that has resulted in many championship teams.
Prior to joining the Lake Erie coaching staff, Faddoul played high school ball at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin in 2009 as a point guard where he was a team captain, North Coast League Co-MVP, NCL Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-Conference before walking on at Cleveland State University for the 2009-2010 season.
Faddoul played professionally from 2012-2013 with Hoops Basketball Club, in League A. After playing point guard in Lebanon, Faddoul immediately began his coaching career. He was the head assistant coach from 2015-2021 at Lutheran East High School. During his time there, he helped transform the program and lead the Falcons to seven district championships, five regional championships, one state championship runner-up, and two state championship titles.
Faddoul also gained experience as a head coach, trainer, and recruiter from 2016-2019 in the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit for the Ohio Basketball Club; as well as in the Under Armour Circuit for Ohio C2K from 2019-2021. These teams included some of the top players in the country.
Coach Faddoul earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cleveland State in 2013 and his Master’s degree in Business Administration with high honors in 2018.
