Tim Kennedy is entering his second season as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the Storm football program in 2025.

Prior to Lake Erie, he was the assistant wide receiver coach at UConn where he assisted with position meetings, installs, film breakdown, opponent studies, and was heavily involved in the recruiting process. During his time, he helped develop Geordon Porter who would land NFL opportunities with the New York Jets and New York Giants.

In 2022, he worked with the linebackers at Tulane University and helped develop Dorian Williams, a third-round pick by the Buffalo Bills, and Nick Anderson, who signed with the Edmonton Elks. During his time there, he saw the team go from a 2-10 record in 2021 to a 12-2 record in 2022, the biggest turnaround in college football history. In this historic season, the Green Wave won the American Athletic Conference (AAC) and the Cotton Bowl against USC and Heisman winner Caleb Williams. They would finish the season ranked No. 9 in the country.

Prior to Tulane, he took on various offensive assistant roles at the University of Toledo from 2019-2021, working with quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends. Under his leadership, he saw Bryce Mitchell and Isaiah Winstead turn into All-MAC wide receivers. During his time, the Rockets had the #1 recruiting class in the MAC in 2020 and 2021. In 2021 they would reach the Bahamas Bowl where they faced Middle Tennessee.

Kennedy got his coaching career started at SUNY Morrisville (DIII) where he spent two seasons. There, he was the wide receiver coach, and strength & conditioning coordinator. While there, the Mustangs went from a 1-10 record the season before his arrival to an ECAC Bowl Appearance in his final season.

Kennedy, a Hudson, Ohio native, graduated from Mount Union in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. While there, he was a four-year member of the football team as a wide receiver and punt returner. He was a 2016 captain and helped guide the Purple Raiders to the 2015 DIII National Championship title. By the time he graduated, he was the all-time leading punt returner in program history.
