**Due to COVID-19, some Policies and Procedures may change. Please adhere to all posted rules on campus**
HOURS OF OPERATION WHEN SCHOOL IS IN SESSION:
Monday - Friday:
- Rehab Room (AC 2nd Floor) 9:00 am - 3:00 pm: Injury Evaluation, Treatment, and Rehabilitation
- ATR (AC 1st Floor) 3:00 pm - End of Events: Pre-practice taping and preparation, practice and competition emergency coverage only
- ATR (Jack Britt Stadium): Hours to be determined by each sport’s ATs. Contact your team’s AT for details.
If there is a legitimate schedule conflict that prevents attendance during normal hours, please contact your team’s AT in advance and we will work out a solution.
Remember: Ignorance is not an excuse for missing treatment time. If you do not come in for treatment, then you cannot have modifications for practice.
WEEKENDS:
- There are no designated treatment and rehabilitation times on weekends
- Athletic trainers are ONLY present for teams who have a practice or competition
PHYSICIAN CLINICS:
- The Head Team Physician will see student-athletes on campus at 5:30 pm on Monday. SA’s must have a referral from their team’s AT to have an appointment. Appointments are first-come, first-served, and at the discretion of AT staffing clinic. Early arrival is recommended.
- The Orthopedic Fellow Physician(s) will see patients on campus on Monday at 5:00 pm. Athletes must have a referral from their AT to be seen. Contact your team’s AT for the suggested arrival time.
**Times are subject to change at the discretion and availability of the physicians**
COMPETITIONS:
For any in-season competitions, the Athletic Training Room will be staffed at least 2 hours (4 hours for football) prior to the start of the competition and at least 30 minutes after it has ended.
For any out-of-season competitions, an Athletic Trainer will be available 30 minutes prior to the event start time, and 30 minutes after it has ended.
TAPING:
Sufficient time is required for taping athletes prior to practice. Keeping in mind the volume of athletes needing to be taped, be present in the Training Room early enough to ensure the adequate time. Check with your sport’s AT for details. The Athletic Training Staff will discontinue taping athletes 5 minutes prior to practice start time to ensure on-time arrival to the practice. Getting taped is not to be used as an excuse for being late to practice.
If an athlete would like to have preventative ankle taping, we require consistent, preventative rehab to be completed. Please contact your team’s AT for details.
