Storm Volleyball Falls at Ashland

Ashland, Ohio - The Lake Erie College volleyball team completed its home-and-home series at Ashland University on Tuesday night, falling in straight sets by the scores of 25-11, 25-15, and 25-16.

The Eagles stingy defense kept the Storm out of system for much of the match as they finished with eight total blocks and held LEC to just a .087 attack percentage.

Allison Kirch led Lake Erie with 10 kills, while Sadie Nawrocki chipped in with seven. Kylie Anderson registered 22 assists and Bella Kessler led the back row with 10 digs.

Ashland raced out to a quick start and the Storm never were able to find their rhythm on the night. The Eagles hit .316 and had an 8-0 advantage in service aces.

With the result, Lake Erie fell to 5-9 overall and 3-5 in the G-MAC.

The Storm step out of conference to host Salem University on Friday at 4 p.m.
