PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Lake Erie men's basketball team has announced that they are set to begin their 2026-27 campaign at the Hoops in Hawaii Tip-Off Classic in Honolulu from Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
"Our program is excited to be able to participate in such a prestigious NCAA DII Tip-Off Tournament like Hoops in Hawaii," said head coach,
Kyle Conley. "Over half the field, including us, participated in the NCAA DII National Tournament this past season. It will be an awesome opportunity to not only compete against other premier teams in the country, but also allow most of our program to experience Hawaii for the first time."
The Storm will be the lone representative from the G-MAC and the Midwest region participating in the classic. They will face off against Winona State in game one, and Tampa or Chaminade in game two, with game three's opponent still TBA.
