INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Lake Erie track & field athlete
Alan de Falchi has been named the Great Midwest Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 13th. This is the third time this season that a Lake Erie track & field student-athlete has received this honor, and the third of de Falchi's career.
Alan de Falchi delivered another historic performance this week, winning the discus at the Akron Northeast Ohio Open with a throw of 59.10 meters. The mark broke his own Lake Erie program record and a nine-year-old G-MAC record, while also standing as the farthest throw in NCAA Division II this season.
Alan is still 2.83m away from his personal record and looks to continue working towards that and making history in the process.
