CANTON, Ohio -- The Lake Erie men's soccer team took to the road tonight to take on the Malone University Pioneers in another Great Midwest matchup. After holding on to a 2-0 lead at the half, the Pioneers scored twice in the second, ending the game in a 2-2 tie. Their record now sits at 4-4-8 on the season and 4-4-4 in G-MAC competition.

The Storm completely dominated the first half, totaling 13 total shots compared to Malone's two.
That domination was shown early on as Lake Erie got out to a fast start, scoring in just the 2nd minute on a goal by
Dario Stadler with an assist by
Gabriele Argint.
In the 40th minute, the Storm tacked on one more before the end of the half, this time coming off the foot of
Linus Oestlund with an assist by
Florian Senf.
In the second half though, the Pioneers got off to a fast start, scoring in just the 47th minute to cut down the lead to 2-1.
Just 10 minutes later, Andres Eizaga tied the game up for the Pioneers in the 57th minute. Neither team was able to score the rest of the game and the contest ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Matchup
The all-time series now sits at the 17-6-2 in favor of the Storm. Prior to tonight's tie, the Storm had won ten straight against Malone.

The Storm will conclude their regular season with back-to-back home games against Findlay (Saturday, November 1st @ 11:00 p.m.) and Northwood (Tuesday, November 4th @ 7p.m.)
