PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- It was a busy and hard-fought week for the Storm, as multiple teams battled through tough matchups and showcased their dedication across the board.
Volleyball:
The Storm volleyball team improved to 6–10 after splitting two matches last week, earning a 3–2 win over Ursuline before falling 3–1 to Malone. Kennady Wiley led the way with 15 kills, 5 digs, and an ace, while teammate Jasmine Heyward dominated with 21 kills and 2 blocks in the victory over the Arrows.
Men's and Women's Soccer:
The men's soccer team dropped two close contests, falling 2–1 to Kentucky Wesleyan and 2–0 to Thomas More. On the women's side, senior leader Leonie Witt guided the Storm to a 2–0 shutout win over Findlay, improving their record to 7–1–3 on the season.
Football:
Storm football hit the road to Midland, Michigan, where they battled hard but came up short in a tough loss to Northwood. Kemari Ward led the defense with seven tackles, while DeAndre Goodson added six tackles, including one for a loss.
Cross Country:
Both the men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational in Pittsburgh. Senior Bryce Michaelis ran an impressive 8k with a time of 28:00.08, followed closely by Andrew Polcik at 28:09.6. On the women's side, Ayleen Villacres set a collegiate PR in the 5k with a time of 20:52.7, and Mckenna Blore finished just behind her at 21:02.4.
It was a strong showing overall for the Storm family — a true reflection of hard work, determination, and pride in Storm Nation.
