OWENSBORO, Kentucky -- The Lake Erie softball team competed in their first Great Midwest road series of the season today against the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers. The bats struggled to get runs on the board and the Storm dropped both games and now fall to 0-18 (0-4 G-MAC) on the season.
GAME 1
LAKE ERIE - 2
KY. WESLEYAN - 3
The Panthers got on board early with a three-run home run to center field in the first.Â

Lillian Campbell walked and
Bridget Mullholand advanced her to third with a double to left center. The next inning,
Jordyn Long led off with a double down the left field line and
Maddie Pawlak advanced her to third with a single to right center. After Pawlak stole second in the next at-bat,
Brynn Gillen flew out on a great catch by the left fielder which she then threw to third to double up Long.
In the seventh, the Storm threatened. Pawlak led off the inning with a walk and advanced to second on a sac bunt by Gillen.
