PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake Erie Storm rounded out the 2023-2024 season with one final home game on Saturday, March 2, as they took on Tiffin University Dragons for senior night. Lake Erie was down 34-26 at the break and would lose 57-70. This brings the final Storm record to 8-20 on the year and 6-14 in the G-MAC conference for the 2023-2024 season.
In their final game, Lake Erie finished shooting 41% from the floor, and 33% from three point range. The Storm went 10-15 from the stripe at 66%. Lake Erie had 30 total boards on the night. The Storm finished with 10 total team assists and 13 points off the bench. Lake Erie caused 14 Tiffin turnovers, converting those to seven points. The Storm had 24 points in the paint and ended with six team steals.
Hughes and Hornbeak led the way for the Storm, scoring 16 each. Hughes finished with 16 points and a team high five rebounds. Manning finished with seven points and four rebounds while fouling out with a little over seven minutes remaining in the game. Todd Simons also added five points and five boards in the contest.
