Box Score NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The Lake Erie College Storm traveled to Nashville on Saturday, January 27, for another conference matchup and the last game of their road stint, against the Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans. After the Storm found themselves down two at the half, they could not stop the Trojans offense and foul shooting. They fell 81-68 bringing their record to 5-14, and 3-8 in the G-MAC.
Lake Erie shot cold in the second half only scoring 33 points. They would finish 26-68 from the field tonight ending at 38% as a team. The Storm were 9-31 from behind the arch, at a low 29%. The Storm finished with just 11 assists, and 37 total team rebounds. They racked up 7 total steals as well. Lake Erie had 14 points off the bench, and had 14 points off of the Trojan's turnovers. The Storm went 7-8 from the foul line at 87.5% as a team. Again the Storm would struggle giving up to many fouls leading to 22 free throw opportunities for Trevecca Nazarene
The Storm were led by a near double-double by Leon Hughes and the team high scorer Jacob Plantz who both shot 50% from three point range. Plantz has back to back games of 21 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a team high 40 minutes of action. Hughes finished with 15 points, nine rebounds, and a team high two blocks. C.J. Hornbeak added in eight points, five assists, and five rebounds.
