Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Shutout by Daemen

AMHERST, New York – The Lake Erie Women's Soccer team traveled to Daemen University to take on the Wildcats for a non-conference matchup. They would fall 0-2 in the game to bring their record to 1-5-1 on the year.

The Storm attempted three shots in the first half, two by Sophomore Leonie Witt. The Wildcats goalie would do well in goal making both saves however. In the 35th minute, the Wildcats scored to take the lead. The rest of the half would remain quiet.

In the second half, the Wildcats continued to roll and scored early on, to extend their lead to 2-0. They would attempt three more shots in the half, but would miss them all. In the final 10 minutes, the Storm would get a chance to come back. Senior Emma Rhodes had an opportunity to score but would miss a shot just left. Freshman Florida Blake would then try two shots of her own but would miss both. This was all the Wildcats needed as the final score would end with a 2-0 loss for the Storm.

Lake Erie will be back in action on Thursday, September 28th when they travel to Crestview Hills, Kentucky to play the Thomas More University Saints at 5pm.
