CEDARVILLE, Ohio –- The Lake Erie women's soccer team took on the Cedarville Yellow Jackets for their third G-MAC game of the season. The Storm would not have an answer for the Yellow Jackets and fell 4-0 in the game.
Even though the Yellow Jackets had 13 shots to the Storm's two shots, the first half would be scoreless. The first six minutes were filled with action as freshman Morgan Vanmeter had two saves. Right after that, freshman Antonia Franovic had an opportunity to score, but missed right. Freshman Pauline Passarge then had a chance to score as well, but the Yellow Jackets goalie made the save. Vanmeter would make 3 more saves in the half to keep the score at zero.
The Yellow Jackets dominated the second half asnd continued to get manymore opportunities to score. They would start the half off with an immediate goal to take the lead. Sophomore Ainsley MacKenzie would counter with the Storm's only shot of the half, but would miss. In the 61st minute the Yellow Jackets scored again and extend their lead to 2-0. They would score again a minute later to extend their lead to 3-0 and in the 81st minute, they would get one more goal that would just go in off the crossbar. This would be the last score in the game resulting in a 4-0 loss for the Storm.
Lake Erie will be back in action on Sunda, September 24th when they travel to Ahmerst, New York to play the Daemen University Wildcats at 11 am.
