PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake Erie softball team played at home for their first doubleheader at Kiwanis Recreation Park nearing the end of their regular season. The Storm hosted the Hillsdale Charger for a conference doubleheader, but dropped both games. They move to a 3-17 conference record and are 8-28 overall.
GAME ONE
The first game was a pitching match against Storm's senior Grace Hammer and the Hillsdale pitcher. The first four innings were silent from both team, as Hammer continued to throw strikeouts. The Chargers took over the game in the top of the fifth, after scoring two runs. The Storm was unable to combat Hillsdale's runs, as the Chargers scored two more runs in the sixth.

Hammer finished the first game with seven strikeouts.
GAME TWO
Senior Carly Rowland started on the mound for the Storm's second game against the Chargers. Rowland threw three strikeouts in the four innings pitched. Sophomore Emma Spahr took over in the final inning.
