TIFFIN, Ohio — The Lake Erie softball team traveled to Tiffin University to take on the Dragons in a conference doubleheader. The Storm were able to get three hits between the two games, but the Dragons took both wins. The Storm move to a 3-15 conference record and are 8-26 overall.
GAME ONE
The Storm were able to wrack up two hits for game one from senior Dani Soria and sophomore Emma Spahr. The Dragons were able to score two runs, taking the 2-0 win.
Senior Grace Hammer started on the mound for Lake Erie. Hammer threw an impressive 11 strikeouts in the full six innings.
GAME TWO
The sole hit for the Storm in the second game was from sophomore Arianna Tammaro. The Dragons took over the game starting in the third inning with a run, and eventually took the 8-0 win.
Spahr pitched the second game for the Storm, throwing three strikeouts.
The Storm return home for their next conference doubleheader on Monday, April 24th. This doubleheader against Hillsdale was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd, but due to inclement weather it was moved to Monday. The Storm will host the Chargers for game one set at 3:00 PM.
