DELAWARE, Ohio -- The Lake Erie women's basketball team traveled to Delaware, Ohio to take on the Ohio Wesleyan University Bishops for another non-conference game. The Storm fell behind early and could not close the gap, resulting in a final score of 85-55. This loss brings the Storms record 1-4 (0-2 G-MAC).

The Storm would get behind early after the Bishops outscored them 27-8 in the first quarter. Despite the tough start for the Storm, they continued to battle in the fourth quarter when they held the Bishops to a 18.2 field goal percentage. However, this effort would not be enough as the scoring margin was too large to overcome.

Freshman Kylie Maxwell and junior Anna Ibos both scored in double figures for the Storm. Maxwell led the team in points with 13, and in rebounds with eight, and also had a block. Ibos had 11 points with four rebounds, and an assist. Sophomore transfer Ryan Elbert led the team in assists with three, and also had five rebounds and two points.

The Storm will be back in action for their home opener against the Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans. This game will continue G-MAC play and will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m.
