Box Score HILLSDALE, Michigan — The Lake Erie Men's basketball team completed their first conference matchup of the season as they took on the Hillsdale College Chargers on Thursday, November 30. After a hard battle to the end, the Storm would drop the game 76-70, bringing their record to 2-5 on the season and 0-1 in the G-MAC.
The Storm shot 28-59 from the field and 5-13 from behind the arch. Lake Erie also went 9-14 from the stripe. The Storm once again outscored their opponents in total points from the bench 23-4. They forced eight steals on the night and forced 14 Charger turnovers.
The Storm were led by the double-digit scoring trio of Jonny Manning, Jacob Plantz, and Trace Bishko. Manning finished with a double-double, posting a team high 22 points, a team high 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block. Plantz ended the contest with 12 points, four rebounds, and one steal. Bishko finished with 10 points and one steal. Jake Leibacher played a team high 37 minutes and once again led the Storm on the defensive end, finishing with three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.
Lake Erie looks to get on track when they travel to Canton, Ohio on Saturday, December 2, as they take on the Malone Pioneers for another G-MAC battle.
