PAINESVILLE, Ohio –- The Lake Erie women's soccer team took on the Walsh University Cavaliers at home for another Great Midwest contest. Despite the Storm's strong defense, they would fall 2-0 in the match. This brings their record to 1-12-1 (0-10 G-MAC).

In the first half, both teams were able to get off six shots. Unfortunately for the Storm, the Cavaliers goalkeeper made an impressive six saves to keep them off the board. Junior Ava Finfrock would account for four of these opportunities to score, but was unable to convert. The Cavaliers, however, were able to find the net in the first half. After having a few chances to score early on, they finally were able to score to bring their lead to 1-0 in the 23rd minute.

The second half was a defensive battle with both teams struggled to get shots on goal. The first shot of the half would come from the Cavaliers just eight seconds in, but freshman goalkeeper Morgan VanMeter would make the save.

Freshman Pauline Passarge would take three shots throughout the half, and just miss all three. In the 83rd minute, the Cavaliers found the net with a perfectly placed shot in the top left corner. This would be enough for the Cavaliers to secure a 2-0 win. 

The Storm will travel to Tiffin, Ohio to play the Tiffin University Dragons Friday, October 20th at 12pm.
