Box Score NASHVILLE, Tennessee -- The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team were back in action for their first game of 2023. The Storm traveled southwest to take on the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene University. The Storm would fall to the Trojans with a final score of 79-47. This will bring the overall record to 6-6 for the season.
Senior guard Angela Fink led the way in scoring for the Storm, going 6-10 from the field with 15 points, two rebounds, one block, and one steal. Sophomore guard Taylor Thomas finished the contest with nine points and five rebounds. While Sydney Wyngarden would add seven points, three assists, two rebounds, and one block. Sophomore guard Aislyn Hurst finished with a team-high seven rebounds, four points, one steal, and one block.
Lake Erie looks to get back on track as they travel to Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, January 7th, to take on the Panthers to end this two-game road stint. Tip-off is set at 1 PM.
