Storm Continue to Roll | Win Third Straight

Box Score

NASHVILLE – The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball took on the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans Thursday, January 5 on the road. The Storm would take down the Trojans in a close matchup, 82-79, and take down another G-MAC opponent.

The Storm played a very tight first half, battling back and forth with the Trojans with neither team taking a large enough lead to gain momentum. Midway through the second half, however, Trevecca would take a 12-point lead giving either team the largest lead of the contest.

Lake Erie would fight through their struggles and manage to close the gap, taking the lead for good at the 4:44 mark on a jump shot by Caleb Piks.

Despite shooting just 19% from deep, great play off the bench and their ability to create pressure and force turnovers would be the key to victory on the night.

Jacob Plantz would lead the way for the Storm by contributing 16 points on 7-14 shooting and coming up with three steals.

The win takes the Storm's record to 8-5 on the year with a 5-2 record in conference play. They have now won three in a row and will continue their road trip on Saturday, January 7 against the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers at 3:15 PM.
