Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Storm women's soccer team took their first loss of the season against the Le Moyne Dolphins, 1-0. This gives the Storm a 1-1-1 record, and the Dolphins a 2-0-1 record.
The first half remained scoreless, with the ball kicked back and forth from each end. The Dolphins took shot after shot, but senior goalie Megan Biddell kept it out of the net. The Storm took their first shot of the game at 12:08 by freshman Leoine Witt, but the Dolphin's goalie got the save. The Storm took another shot at 32:50 by junior Emma Rhodes, but it missed out right. The score remained 0-0 going into the second half.
The Dolphins continued to take shots on the Storm goal, with the ball staying near the Storm goal most of the half. Biddell continued to defend their goal, but the ball snuck into the net at 66:22 from the Dolphins, bringing the score to 1-0. Sophomore Rahel Lang took a shot of her own at 78:06, but missed out top. The Dolphins were given several yellow cards toward the end of the game, yet continued to best the Storm finishing out the game 1-0. Biddell finished the game with 10 saves.
The Storm return to their home field on Thursday, September 8th at 5:00 PM for their first conference game against Ohio Dominican.
